Privacy Policy — GS Calculator

1. Who We Are

GS Calculator is an independent tool available at gscalculator.online. It is not affiliated with PayPal, Inc. Contact: hello@gscalculator.online

2. What Data We Collect

Core calculator (free tool): No personal data is collected. All calculations happen in your browser. We do not log, store, or transmit the amounts you enter.

CSV Bulk Calculator (paid feature): When you purchase access via Stripe, the following data is processed:

Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your card details. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
Email address: collected by Stripe during checkout for your payment receipt. We may receive it from Stripe if you contact support.
Access token: a random 48-hour token stored in our database to gate access to the CSV tool. No personal information is attached to this token.
Uploaded CSV files: processed in memory only. Files are not stored on our servers after processing.

Server logs: Our web server (nginx) logs standard HTTP request data including IP address, user agent, and requested URL. These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostic purposes.

3. Cookies

The core calculator uses no cookies.

If Google AdSense ads are displayed, Google may set third-party advertising cookies. You can opt out via Google Ad Settings or via your browser's cookie controls.

The CSV tool stores your access token in localStorage (browser local storage) for convenience. This data stays in your browser and is never sent to third parties.

To verify payment and grant access to the CSV tool
To diagnose server errors and prevent abuse
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except Stripe for payment processing

5. Your Rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights:

Right of access: request a copy of data we hold about you
Right to erasure: request deletion of your access token and any associated data
Right to object: object to processing of your data
Right to portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format

Legal basis for processing: legitimate interest (server logs, security) and contract performance (access token for paid feature).

6. Data Retention

Server logs: 30 days, then automatically deleted
CSV access tokens: 48 hours, then expired automatically
Payment records: retained by Stripe per their policy (typically 7 years for financial compliance)

7. Third-Party Services

Stripe, Inc. — payment processing. Privacy Policy
Google AdSense — advertising (if enabled). Privacy Policy
DigitalOcean — hosting. Data processed in Frankfurt, EU (or chosen region). Privacy Policy

8. Data Transfers

Payment data is processed by Stripe, which may transfer data outside the EEA. Stripe is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.

9. Children

This tool is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the tool after an update constitutes acceptance.
